About our Mizzou Trip

The 2018 Mizzou Field Trip kicked off in St. Louis, MO with players from local volleyball clubs hopping on busses with the DIG it! Volleyball players for a 1.5hr journey to the University of Missouri.

Upon arriving on Mizzou’s campus the group ate lunch at Shakespeare’s Pizzeria. From there the busses headed to the athletic campus for a facilities tour. DIG it! players were able to tour the newly renovated Hearnes Center and see the locker room, team room, lounge, and court up close and personal. Following the athletic facilities tour the group then headed over to Mizzou Arena to watch the University of Missouri beat the Georgia Bulldogs! Before heading back to St. Louis, MO the DIG it! players and volunteers had a chance to meet the Mizzou volleyball team (and even some members of the Georgia squad), pose for pictures with players, and even had their posters signed!

Our girls talked about their experience and how they wanted to play volleyball in college the whole way home. The field trip helped our girls get inspired to do more in life and the road trip brought the girls closer together. This is an amazing program and we can’t wait to start playing in the league!
